What is Daisy’s Guide?

Daisy's Guide is a series of parenting books for couples, with one for each stage. Each breaks down the questions two people need to answer together, including many you may not know to ask, and helps you reach agreement on every decision, big and small.

What’s included?

A guidebook with expert-created resources to help prepare you for parenthood. Every discussion topic has prompts and space to write down your thoughts, feelings, and decisions, as well as links to expert-created resources that will help foster productive discussions.

Who is Doctor Daisy?

Benazir "Daisy" Drabu, MD, has been a practicing pediatrician for over 20 years in Oklahoma City, and she is currently the Associate Professor and Medical Director of the Mother-Baby Unit at Oklahoma Children's Hospital. She is also a mother of 2 daughters and grandmother to 1 granddaughter (so far!), who are the inspiration behind Daisy's Guide.

Why should we use Daisy’s Guide?

Have More Confidence: with insight and advice from experts, you and your partner decide these together instead of discovering you disagree later. Prevent Arguments: work through the conversations two people need to have, one topic at a time, before they turn into arguments at 3am. Enjoy Parenting More: fewer open questions means less time negotiating and more time actually enjoying it.

How much time will it take for us to complete our guide?

Daisy's Guide includes 51 questions, and the time it takes you to complete your guide depends on how much time you take to answer each question.

You may find some questions easy to answer and others - especially ones where you may disagree with each other - take longer. There’s no right amount of time to spend on these. Do what feels right for you as a couple - with open, honest, and respectful communication.

Do I have to answer all the questions?

We recommend considering all questions at least once, but you’ll ultimately decide which - if any - are not relevant for you as a couple.

Who is Daisy’s Guide for?

Couples expecting their first baby, parents raising a toddler, and grandparents. There is a guide for each, plus gift cards if you are buying for someone else.

If we’ve already had our baby, is it too late to use Daisy’s Guide?

Not at all!

We created Daisy’s Guide during our baby’s first year, and found the questions and answers to be helpful in our own thought process and decision making.

Ideally, you would use Daisy’s Guide before the baby arrives because it gives you more time to think, discuss, and decide - but it’s still helpful at any point during the baby’s first year.
